Program Info

If you currently work in a Colorado school district, you can turn your content knowledge into a teaching credential. Mountain BOCES offers an alternative teacher pathway to non-licensed educators who are currently teaching in Colorado schools. Mountain BOCES offers credential pathways in 21 different endorsement areas, all approved through the Colorado Department of Education.

This one-year teacher preparation program is unique in that for most endorsement areas, you can start and finish the program at any time during the year. For the Special Education Generalist endorsement, you must start the program by the end of October, and you must hold a license in another area before you enter the program.
